What would you do normally when your vehicle say car or bike stops in the middle of a road and it doesn't move forward? As a first step, you'll try to move it off the road. Just imagine if that vehicle happens to be an airplane.
Impossible?!
Hold on. It is very much possible.
One of the chinese domestic flight, Shandong Airlines, broke just after landing on the runway. Incidentally the tow truck also broke. Guess what? All 69 passengers and 7 crews of the plane were asked to get down and push the plane off the runway and they did it. Wow!!
Don't believe me? Check out here

Long Walk = 27 kms
Last thursday, 18th Sept, I decided to walk home from office i.e. from Jurong East to Ang Mo Kio. Not knowing the exact distance and route, I took prints of few maps, marked the routes on them unsure about the exact distance.
Reset my pedometer and left Jurong at about 6:15pm. Initially it was interesting for photography. As time past, distances crossed, the walk turned more brisk. As my walk got more brisk, I noticed that the landmarks on the map were not visible anywhere. I was bit confused. Kept walking and walking and finally reached a point which, to my shock, happened to be a dead road. I had reached Harbour Drive near Jurong West Coast Road which was not in my route map at all. Due to LITTLE carelessness I had deviated from my marked route. By now, I had walked about 10+ kms. Decided not to step back from the journey. Continued my journey and started walking towards the way I came from. That SMALL mistake costed me about 6kms.
Learnt a lesson. Corrected my route. Careful not to repeat mistake. Walked, walked and kept walking. The route that I followed are Boon Lay Way, commonwealth Avenue west, Ave 5, Ave 2, Clementi Rd, Bukit Timah Rd (Dunearn Rd), Adam Rd, Lornie Rd, Thomson Rd, Marymount Rd and Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1.
It was 11:45pm when I reached AMK. After 5:30 hrs, the journey came to an end. Wooohooo! what a relax when reached home. I had not sat anywhere on the whole journey. Had stopped at 7/11 shop at two places to get some snacks/drinks. Pedometer read 27kms. Of which 21kms the distance from Jurong East to Ang Mo Kio while 6kms is the result of LITTLE carelessness ;-)
Got home, enjoyed hot shower, had some fruits and finally 1..2..3..sleeeep.
Now, you may ask why I took up this loooooong walk. what is the purpose? what did I achieve?
Not one but there are many answers. First reason is I like walking. Others are to burn fat, training for upcoming treks, fitness program, see Singapore's beauty, etc.
The journey will continue.

Leh 2006 - revisited 2
These days I'm struck with the great Himalayan fever again. Very eagerly waiting for the next season to recuperate my sickness. September 2006 Himalayan biking remains as unforgettable experience as October 2007's lonely travel to Cambodia or June 2008's Mt.Kinabalu expedition.
Here are some of the pic(k)s from the himalayan trip.

Sentosa Island
The home for fun and entertainment activities, Sentosa is closely adjacent to Singapore and is a major tourist attraction.
People might laugh at me but it is a fact that this is the first time that I visited Sentosa in my two years of stay in Singapore. Either friends were not ready when I was interested or I was not interested when friends wanted to go :)
The day was filled with full of fun with other friends, Prakash & Srini. We reached Sentosa at 3pm and immediately took part in Luge & Sky ride. Although these rides are not new to me, I always enjoy them. Then Cineblast. 3D movie with seating effects simulated with Roller Coaster. Awesome experience. But it's bad that the show was only for 5 mins. After enjoying my favourite Carrot Cake and Vanilla Latte in The Coffee Beans during a short break, we went on to watch the famous & climax show, Songs of the Sea, in the late evening only to welcome the heavy rains with lightning and thunders.
Songs of the Sea is a special Laser show in open air using water, fire, lights & music. Wow!! Nice. It was more thrilling as we watched the show with almost wet in the rains (although ponchos on). Waaaaooouuw!! At the sametime, feel very bad because my camera had to sleep inside the bag :(
